In these FEEL sessions, the horse becomes the metaphor for how we lead
our life and perform at work. Just like people do, horses respond
to a Leadership style – but unlike most people, they are able to
provide us with honest and clear feedback about our current strengths
of leadership and areas for improvement.
Given this, what’s most important to note is that
horses make great coaches because they have no investment in the
outcome of our relationship with them. They don’t lie; they
have no egos or master plans. Horses
simply are who they are. That’s why the information they
give us about ourselves is so powerful. They are perfect mirrors
for us to see how we create our current reality.

Horses easily close the gap between where we say we are going and what
we are actually doing to get there. They give participants the
opportunity to feel what it’s like to experience true engagement
built on trust and respect.
Modern humans are literally mesmerized by words, yet psychologists
have determined that less than 10% percent of communication is verbal. Internet
relationships, computer games and cell phones promote reliance on language
and surface appearances. Most education and training concentrates
on this small portion of our communication. The remaining
90% is largely neglected, so Facilitated Equine Experiential
Learning first and foremost expands nonverbal intelligence.
Vast amounts of information arise from behaviour, emotional import,
intent, -and more subtle energetic exchanges. These qualities are so
grossly downplayed in post-industrial society that people are losing
their ability to function fully and authentically in the moment.
Value of Horse Coaching:
- Explore how emotional intelligence impacts leadership
- Develop essential skills for building an authentic team
- Learn how to create clear roles and responsibilities while staying
connected and grounded in results
- Identify habitual limiting behaviours enabling you to step into a
new awareness
- Develop powerful alternatives to help you move towards your goals
With these new skills, your team can develop their own unique leadership
style, allowing them to display their curiosity and imagination, and identify
and let go of old judgments. They will learn how to be less reactive
and perceive more choices, leading to improved inter-departmental relationships. Working
with horses, your team will experience first hand how body language is
a primary source of communication.
