“Unlike any other workshop I have attended before, this one ‘cut to the chase’ and made you ‘feel’ how to be a better leader rather than teaching you. This is the most powerful leadership experience I’ve had!!!”

People learn best through direct experience.  At Horse Spirit Connections, we prepare people for leadership and teamwork by facilitating highly interactive and engaging learning experiences using horses.

Horses are highly intuitive in their leadership and team assessments.  Authentic Leadership styles emerge through a series of experiential learning activities where participants lead horses through exercises.  For example, a team may be asked to move a herd of horses towards a common goal.

Organizations can use experiential learning to
:

  • Develop emotionally intelligent leaders that inspire innovation
  • Create teams that deliver results, achieving more than they thought possible
  • Facilitate strategic alignment and follow-through
  • Optimize work flow processes and execution
  • Connect and engage with authenticity and power
  • Develop new ways to act and react

One benefit of learning with horses is that they offer an opportunity to fine-tune leadership styles, work in teams successfully and experience a sense of morale, loyalty and belonging.  Horses allow us to let go and surrender our perceived need to control.

“Teamwork remains the one sustainable competitive advantage that has been largely untapped…when people come together and set aside their individual needs for the good of the whole, they can accomplish what might have looked impossible on paper…as a result, they get more done in less time and with less cost.”
Patrick Lencioni, Overcoming the Five Dysfunctions of a Team
